The BRIFEN Cable Barrier is perfect for medians on a divided highway. Whether it be a grassy median or a paved median, BRIFEN will perform to its maximum.

BRIFEN's TL4 Cable Barrier has a dynamic deflection of 1.35 meters for a 900 Kg vehicle and 2.21 meters for a 8000 kg vehicle.

This is a temporary deflection, lasting for less than 1 second. Concrete and W-Beam deflections may remain in place until heavy machinery can come to replace the damaged parts.

BRIFEN has tested its Cable Barrier to slopes of 1:6 and 1:3, so if the median has an existing slope, then BRIFEN will perform. With other forms of barriers, the median would need to be brought up to grade, raising the end cost of the project.
